Short answer

Tumi lets you personalize most of its bags and luggage with a monogram of letters, numbers or symbols on a monogram patch and/or luggage tag. You add it on the product page at tumi.com, choose the placement, initials, font and color, and preview it before ordering. Tumi also offers a premium monogram with upgraded hardware letters at an extra cost, and accent kits to change the color of tags, patches and zipper pulls.

How to add a monogram to your Tumi, step by step

Tumi updates its website from time to time, so the screens and options below may look slightly different when you order.

Step 1: Go to the Tumi website

Monogramming is ordered on the official Tumi website.

Step 2: Pick your bag or luggage

Open the product page of the bag you want and click “Add a Classic Monogram”. The customization options appear in the sidebar.

Step 3: Choose the placement

Select the monogram patch, the luggage tag, or both, then click “Next”.

Step 4: Enter your initials

Click each slot and type a letter, a number or one of the available symbols, then click “Next”.

Step 5: Choose the design

Pick the font and the color for your monogram patch or tag. When I ordered, the choice was between a Times and a Futura font, and I went with blue.

Step 6: Preview and apply

Place and preview your monogram on Tumi luggage

Check your monogram in the preview. If you’re happy with it, click “Apply” and it will show on the product page before you check out.

Style your Tumi with accent kits

Tumi accent kits add color accents to your luggage tag, monogram patch and zippers. They’re replaceable, so you can change the look of your bag later.

Tumi classic vs premium monogram

Tumi offers two levels of personalization. The classic monogram has been offered free of charge on most Tumi bags, while the premium monogram uses upgraded “luxe” hardware letters and is charged per letter.
